History

Kopafol was created on July 12th 1971 to start supplying PP film.

With the good prospects of the market in the area of Polypropylene film for the electro industry, in-house production was built up in 1979. In December 1980 line 1 started operations for the first time.

Because of the big demand for biaxially oriented Polypropylene film, it was decided to increase the capacity and to install a second line in 1985. In 1986 the line started production.

Today, Kopafilm Elektrofolien GmbH produces on two lines around 3,000 tonnes BOPP film per year.
